Price standards

The hours-per-bedroom table the review queue checks each quote against.

Price standards are the office’s rule of thumb for how long a move should take. Each standard is a number of bedrooms, one or two Roos, and a range of hours. Every new job is checked against them, so a quote that looks too long or too short stands out in the review queue before anyone confirms it.

How the check works#

When a deposit turns a quote into a job, the app counts the job’s bedrooms, finds the standard with the same number of bedrooms and the same number of Roos, and compares the quoted hours with its range:

ResultWhen
Within StandardThe quoted hours are inside the range.
Above StandardMore hours than the maximum. Check for a heavy item list, stairs, extra trips or a long drive.
Below StandardFewer hours than the minimum. Check the client hasn’t left rooms or items out.
Not CheckedNo standard matches that number of bedrooms and Roos.

The result and a short note, such as “Within the 4-6.5 h standard for 2 bed”, appear on the job card in the review queue, on the dashboard and on the job record. It’s a flag for a person to look at, not a block: the job can be confirmed either way.
