RooMoverRoo Guide

The website themes

Version 1 and Version 2, what loads from the app and how the forms reach it.

There are two RooMoverRoo WordPress themes, Version 1 and Version 2. Both connect to the app in exactly the same way and use the same settings, so you can switch between them in WordPress under Appearance, Themes, without losing anything. They differ in look and in how visitors get their first price.

What both themes do#

  • Pages are made for you. Activating the theme creates the Home page and seven pages (Service Options, Celebration Offers, Moving Guides, Book Now, Terms & Conditions, About and Join the Team), the menu and six starter Moving Guides.
  • Content loads from the app: service cards and rates, offers, the announcement bar, suburbs, terms, moving tips, job openings, and your business details.
  • Every quote button opens the app’s booking form, with offer codes, Full Quote or the number of Roos added to the link where it makes sense.
  • Call-back requests become quotes. The “Let’s talk about your move” form creates a Quick quote in the app with status Awaiting Call and call-back status To Call, priced from the bedrooms given. The office is emailed, it shows under Call backs on the Dashboard and in Quotes, and the visitor sees a rough price range.
  • Applications go to Join the team, with the resume attached. See Job openings and applicants.
  • The suburb checker tells visitors whether their suburb is on your list.
  • The site never goes blank. If the app can’t be reached, the website shows the last good copy.

Version 1#

The original design, closest to the brand wireframe, with ear-shaped menu buttons and a quick form on the home page.

  • The quick form asks for a name, phone, suburbs and bedrooms. See my live price opens the booking form with those filled in. Request a call back sends a call-back request instead.

Version 2#

A livelier design built around the same content.

  • Moving pass. A From, To and bedrooms form at the top of the home page that opens the booking form already filled in.
  • Build your home. Visitors tap rooms using the brand room artwork, choose Large or Small, one or two Roos, and packing or unpacking help. The price range comes from the app’s own pricing engine, the same one the booking form uses, so the numbers match. Book this move opens the booking form with exactly those rooms.
  • The billing clock. A slider that shows how quarter-hour rounding down works.
  • Offers shown as tickets, Moving Guides as moving boxes, and a Roo that hops down the page as you scroll on wide screens.

Build-your-home prices are fetched through the WordPress server using the site key. Each combination of rooms is remembered for 10 minutes, so a change to your rates shows there within about 10 minutes.
