Why is time rounded down?#

It’s a RooMoverRoo promise. On moving day the clock runs from when the crew arrive to when they finish, and that time is rounded down to the quarter hour, so a job that takes 5 hours 14 minutes is billed as 5 hours. The minimum is 4 hours. Quotes are rounded up, so the final bill is usually at or below the quote.

What’s the difference between a Quick Quote and a Full Quote?#

A Quick Quote prices the rooms from typical contents and shows a range. A Full Quote lists the items, so the price is fixed. Clients can switch from Quick to Full at any time on the booking form. See Quick Quote and Full Quote.

Can a client book a day you don’t move?#

No. Only the moving days in Settings (Thursday, Saturday and Sunday by default) can be picked. Days with the maximum number of jobs show as fully booked.

What happens to a booking made too late to review?#

It goes on the short-notice waitlist as Waitlist instead of being refused. The deposit is taken, and the office confirms it if a crew is free, for example after a cancellation. If not, the deposit is refunded.

Do the crew need a login?#

No. Each job has its own private job-sheet link, emailed to the crew two days before. The start-of-day sheet has its own link too.

Can we change prices without a developer?#

Yes. Rates, the minimum, surcharges, the deposit, discounts and the booking rules are all in Settings. The Pricing tab shows a live example price so you can see the effect before you save.

Where do website enquiries go?#

Call-back requests from the website become quotes marked Awaiting Call, and job applications appear under Join the team. See The website themes.

Is the data in this guide real?#

No. The screenshots use sample clients, jobs and amounts.
